Home is Where...

The Homestead Is, Featuring Hopewell Farms!

It’s another week, and another Meat Platter delivered right on time to your inbox.

We hope last week’s newsletter got you guys amped for Football season! As much as it pained us to hear our buddy talk about Ole Miss, it lights a fire for our DAWG-lovin’ hearts all the same. And if you missed it [or any of our previous newsletters], you can view those straight from your inbox with the simple click in the top right hand corner…where it says “read online”- easy enough, we think. 😉

Before we get to the gettin’ to, and while we are talkin’ college football— did you guys make it over to our Spotify to check out our E P I C Football Walkout playlist? No? Do yourself a favor and click right here.

Now onto the “meat and potatoes” of this week’s Meat Platter…

Our featured guest this week is a friend of ours, and someone we admire- both professionally and personally. He took a small dream, and a huge risk all in the name of, “why the hell not!”. Phil Bonelli, of Hopewell Farms is a treat- he’s humble, engaging, kind, and happy to share his knowledge with any and everyone.

His story is really one of true entrepreneurship and we are damn pleased to be sharing it with each of you.

If yall are local-ish to the Gainesville, GA area, we highly recommend going and checking out Phil’s operation. You can stop in his Farm Store and grab dinner for the fam, some pretty hilarious swag, and learn all about what he’s got going on.

With Labor Day approaching, we felt like it was a good time to remind you about the Meat Meter so you can be sure not to look like a doofus in front of your friends this weekend. Remember, digital thermometers are our friends, not our enemies.

Wether you’ve got big or small plans this weekend, we wholeheartedly believe you guys should be Treating Your Meat right.

What goes hand in hand with grilling? BREWSKIES. [You thought we were gonna say meat, didn’t you?]

The Wild Heaven Beer owners became fast friends of ours this year—watch out for them on The Meat Platter soon— and where fast friends are created, good brews followed soon after. If you haven’t tried Emergency Drinking Beer, grab a few this weekend. Easy, refreshing, light— perfect end of summer booze.

And if you find yourself in or around Atlanta, checkout their OG location in Avondale Estates. They have a great patio, usually a food truck or two and good vibes all around.

Cheers everyone! Have a solid Labor Day, and a safe one too.

Why couldn’t the bicycle stand up alone?

Because it was two tired.
