It's a Pepper Partayy
Just indulge us, okay?

Welcome back, family and friends! It’s a new Thursday, and a new newsletter from The Meat Platter in your inbox. Is the subject throwing you off? Well, chill. We will explain ourselves shortly. 😏
Over the weekend, we spent time with family and friends. And as any group does, we got to talking about things we love to grill in the summertime. [This is legit…not a joke]. Among that conversation, we realized that our friends share a love of peppers. Random, we are aware, but it got us talking about how we prepare them- we were sharing recipes, growth tips for your garden, cooking tricks. And just like that, this weeks subject topic was born.
A buddy shared his version of a Southern inspired Jalapeño Popper and we thought yall might enjoy it, too.

Is your mouth watering? 🤤
Outside of the jalapeños, another crowd favorite is Shishito’s. You can buy them at most grocery stores, and we like to just toss those in our oil of preference (which happens to be avocado) but we don’t really care what you do because everyone has personal preferences and that’s totally fine, stick them in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes, and then finish with flaky sea salt. Wanna talk about 🔥? They won’t disappoint.
Real quick, though, back to Meat Head (we’re shameless and aware but your here for the meat!). We wanted to just quickly talk about “The Founder”- our signature all purpose seasoning and rub.

We refer to The Founder around here as a jack of all trades. It's sugar free, delicious, and most of all, makes you look like you know what you are doing. It’s as good on beef as it is pork, it’s great on chicken and seafood too. It’s our favorite seasoning for a Summer burger, no cap. And it’s…
Gluten Free
Sugar Free
No MSG
No Preservatives
It’s the spice for every body, every thing, every time. And we’d love if you gave it a try. Seriously, go buy it.
Don’t think we weren’t gonna mention those July grilling tunes before we let yall go. Still epic waiting for yall to enjoy. A link to our Spotify page, too so you never miss a fresh beat.

Next week, we are talking cocktails, a last hurrah for July, and a story or two about your favorite companion at the grill- probably isn’t who you are thinking either!
Until then, cheers to you guys. And thanks for sticking with us over here at The Meat Platter.
Oh yeah…
Why do fish always know how much they weigh?
Because they have their own scales!
